You’ve seen the disasters and crisis in your community and congregations. I have two questions for you: Do you have a core group of Emotional and Spiritual Caregivers in your church who can give the ongoing ministry that’s needed? Do you feel equipped to help a family through their disaster if someone dies? They need assistance for months and sometimes years.

This is why we are offering this class in Bakersfield beginning in January. Just imagine how you could sustain an ongoing caring ministry if you and several laypeople from your church took this thirty-hour training! Over two hundred have completed this seminar.

The cost is very reasonable. The fee is only $185.00 for thirty hours. Many pay $100 - $150 a day for seminars that they attend. So, the savings are considerable and the training is extensive. Please consider attending along with others.

This class is presented by lecture, live demonstrations, discussion, practice role-playing, video/DVD of experts in the field. There are several textbooks to complete.

In this practical course you will learn:
• To identify the various types of human losses and their impact;
• The distinctions between loss, crisis and trauma;
• The emphasis is a practical hands on “how to respond” approach
• The normalcy and biblical pattern of grief;
• The causes and symptoms of crisis and trauma;
• The steps and approaches to help others recover from a loss, crisis or trauma;
• To implement a program of prevention and recovery from disasters;
• How to develop a spiritual and emotional caregivers ministry in the local congregation
